Since July 29, 2023, Beijing has experienced a historically rare flooding disaster, causing severe damage. Large areas of land have been submerged, with many houses, roads, and farmlands destroyed, significantly affecting people's daily lives and production. Currently, all affected areas in Mentougou District are accelerating the restoration of order in production and daily life. Self-rescue and post-disaster reconstruction are underway in an organized manner. However, the tasks of rebuilding homes and resuming production remain arduous. They urgently need a substantial amount of relief supplies to assist in local reconstruction efforts, addressing the pressing post-disaster needs.
To vigorously promote the traditional Chinese virtue of "help comes from all sides when one area suffers," Kejingyuan actively responded to the call of the Beijing Hydraulic Engineering Society and the Beijing Water Affairs Asset Management Center. They committed themselves to flood control, disaster relief, and post-disaster reconstruction in Beijing, demonstrating Kejingyuan's sense of responsibility. Kejingyuan's trade union and the general manager's office understood the most urgent and practical material needs on the frontline of disaster relief and reconstruction. They immediately organized offline procurement and gathered more than 20,000 yuan in donated supplies, including drinking water and instant food. Appointed by the company, on August 18, Kejingyuan's Assistant General Manager, Pan Nanzhen, Director He Chen of the General Manager's Office, and trade union members Niu Zhiqiang and Guo Yang, went to Mentougou to donate supplies. They expressed Kejingyuan employees' heartfelt solidarity and commitment to stand with the disaster-stricken people of Mentougou, helping each other overcome difficulties. Relevant staff from the Beijing Hydraulic Engineering Society and the Mentougou Water Affairs Bureau accompanied them.
Grounded in the water environment treatment industry, Kejingyuan practices social responsibility and demonstrates its commitment during the critical period of post-disaster reconstruction in Mentougou. Kejingyuan strives to contribute its humble effort to the reconstruction, ensuring that supplies are delivered to the most needed frontlines at the earliest. They contribute to the local community, aiding Mentougou in winning this tough battle against the flood disaster, thereby helping build a harmonious society.
